Fees and how to pay
Fees for visa or citizenship applications must be paid at (or before) the time the application is lodged. Instructions for paying fees to the Australian Embassy Vienna are set out below.
It is also possible to pay a fee at any office of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) in Australia and to send the receipt from that office to Vienna with the visa/citizenship application form.
Please note that fees change from time to time; if you will not be applying for your visa for some time, please check the latest fees from the DIAC website (see link below) at the time you wish to apply.
1. Check the applicable charge
*News: Fees for some visa and citizenship services will change on 1 January 2009. The new fee information will be available from 1 January on the websites below.

Fees may be paid by credit card, in cash in Euros (only if you have an appointment at the Embassy), or in Australia – please refer to the detailed instructions below.
Note: The Australian Embassy in Vienna cannot accept payments in Australian dollars, bank cheques or personal cheques.
2. Payment by Credit Card
Complete the ‘Credit Card Authorization Form’ and send it with your application to the Embassy.

Please note that someone else may pay the fee on your behalf on their credit card. In this case, the credit card holder should print out and complete the ‘Credit Card Authorization Form’.
3. Payment by Cash
Fees may be paid in cash (in Euros only) at the Embassy counter if you have made an appointment to lodge an application in person. To make an appointment, please see: Contact Us
Note: The Australian Embassy in Vienna cannot accept payments in Australian Dollars, bank cheques or personal cheques.
4. Payment in Australia
Fees may be paid at any office of the Department of Immigration & Citizenship (DIAC) in Australia. Once the fee has been paid, please send the receipt, together with your visa/citizenship application, to the Embassy.
